  15. the award-winning line of MicroPhone  communications software, today announced
  16. that it is offering MicroPhone Pro 1.0 for NeXTSTEP at a substantial discount
  17. price  only $99, down from its regular $395 suggested retail price   now
  18. through May 31, 1993, when customers order through NeXTConnection's mail order
  19. service.

  21. The special price coincides with NeXT Computer's planned roll out of the
  22. NeXTSTEP operating system for Intel computers, scheduled for late May.

  25. MicroPhone Pro for NeXTSTEP, introduced in September 1992, gives NeXT computer
  26. users a flexible set of tools to transfer data, communicate with remote
  27. computers, build custom scripts and design graphical interfaces. Using a built-
  28. in script editor and Watch Me script recorder, MicroPhone Pro for NeXTSTEP
  29. users can automate much of their communications, without having to memorize
  30. log-in and navigation sequences.

  32. MicroPhone Pro for NeXT supports key NeXTSTEP features. For example, with NeXT
  33. Services, users can designate MicroPhone Pro to send and receive information
  34. directly from other applications. With NeXTSTEP's Interface Builder and
  35. MicroPhone Pro's extensive script language, users have a complete set of tools
  36. to create custom front ends for communicating with remote computers.

  38. MicroPhone Pro for NeXTSTEP implements a comprehensive set of file transfer
  39. protocols to send text, graphics and sound files. Protocols supported include
  40. Text/ASCII, XMODEM, YMODEM, ZMODEM and Kermit. Terminal emulation includes
  41. TTY, VT100, VT102 and VT220. Full TCP/IP support allows users to connect
  42. directly to TCP/IP networks, such as the Internet.
